Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating a Compatify account or calling the Compatify API, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Compatify on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Free Tier Restrictions

The free tier (5,000 queries/month) is subject to the following restrictions:

  • One free account per person or organization
  • Not for use in production services serving more than 100 unique end users per day without upgrading
  • Compatify reserves the right to suspend free accounts that appear to be abusing the service

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Compatify to:

  • Scrape or bulk-download the Compatify database for redistribution
  • Build a competing compatibility data product using Compatify data
  • Circumvent rate limits through multiple accounts or API keys
  • Use the API in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any Compatify system
  • Generate or serve fake compatibility data using Compatify branding

4. Competitive Use Restriction

You may not use the Compatify API or data to train a machine learning model or build a dataset that competes with Compatify's core product (electronics accessory compatibility data). This restriction does not apply to using Compatify API responses to make purchasing decisions or recommendations in your own product.

5. Attribution Requirement

If you display Compatify compatibility data to end users, you must include a visible attribution such as "Compatibility data by Compatify" with a link to compatify.io. This requirement does not apply to autonomous agent workflows where data is consumed programmatically without end-user display.

6. Accuracy Disclaimer

Compatify provides compatibility data as a best-effort service. Confidence scores indicate data quality but do not constitute a warranty. Compatify is not liable for purchasing decisions made based on API responses, including autonomous agent purchases.

7. Service Availability

Growth and above plans include an uptime SLA as specified on the pricing page. Free tier accounts have no SLA. Compatify reserves the right to perform maintenance with reasonable notice.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.
